I`m working on traveling by train from Union Station in DC to Kansas City and back with my well-behaved 1 year old daughter. I`m leaving Tuesday, Oct 17 afternoon/eve arriving in Kansas City Wednesday night. Then leaving Monday, Oct 23 morning and arriving back in DC Tuesday afternoon. I`m looking to share a roomette (tiny room on the train with chairs that transition to beds) for the overnight leg of the train trip (DC to Chicago and vice versa) with another female coming from DC area. Cost would be about $720 round trip. I know it`s more time and money than flying but it`s safer than driving and arguably safer than flying, too. I prefer my feet on the ground. I have a room booked at the Loews Kansas City Hotel for Thursday night 19th through Sunday night 22nd.

I am a chiropractor and acupuncturist and enjoy nutritional coaching/NRT as the main service I have in my practice.

I have only missed two annual conferences since I started coming in 2005. It is action packed and alot of fun.

I have 2 queen beds and can bring a blow up bed if needed.
I do need the room to be a little cool at night and am sensitive to synthetic fragrances- usually ok with mild essential oils.

I am still looking for places to stay within reasonable walking distance of the convention center (15 mins or so), but they are all $1000+ which is totally out of my budget. If I can find one other woman to share with, I can rent a 2 bedroom and we can each pay $500. I`m not sure what else to do, cuz thats crazy expensive lol. I am very cleanly, and will be at the convention Thurs banquet through Monday farm tour and flying out Tuesday. Let me know if you want to rent a little AirBnB together, so we can both have privacy but not totally break the bank!
